Campgrounds and Picnic Areas

Please enjoy the National Forest responsibly.
Remember, only YOU can prevent forest fires.
Developed campgrounds have various services and facilities.
Most open in May and close in October or November. Some are open all year.
The National Recreation Reservation Service handles reservations for most campgrounds, while some are first-come, first-served, and others reserve through the ranger station. Holiday weekends book early. Reservations may be made up to 240 days in advance. Campground prices and seasonal dates are subject to change. Holiday weekends fees may be higher. There may be a charge for extra vehicles.
NOTE: Campgrounds may be closed due to wildfires or reconstruction. Winter access to year-'round campgrounds may be affected by snow in some areas.
